TiO2 precusor
Submitted by Cam on Thu, 03/19/2009 - 19:48
Are there any good precursors for making a TiO2 film? I saw that some experiments had been done with Ti, so I was wondering what reagent to use. |

TiO2 precursors
There are several options. One is titanium(IV) bis(ethyl aceto-acetato)diisopropoxide (Tyzor LA, Aldrich), a water-stable titanium complex.
Also TiCl4 forms stable solutions in water under some conditions.
DuPont also makes a Ti solution but I can't recall the trade name.
My ex student Mike Woodhouse may be able to provide details.
