The SHArK Project was demonstrated for high school math and science teachers from the state of Wyoming as part of an outreach event for the University of Wyoming's School of Energy at the 7th Annual Math & Science Teachers Conference on January 8th to the 10th in Casper, WY. Many teachers from across the state were able to talk to Jennifer Schuttlefield about the possibility of implementing a SHArK kit into their classrooms and the educational experiences that this project could provide for their students. This was an ideal opportunity to discuss the global energy problem with high school and middle school teachers and the role that scientist play in this process.
