refillable ink cartridges
Submitted by cmarkum on Mon, 07/13/2009 - 14:13
In working with the new refillable ink cartridges from inkproducts.com, I ran into several key points that I feel need to be emphasized. Chips MUST be removed with extreme caution as any fold, bend, or crack will cause the printer problems in reading the cartridge. The other thing that needs to be said is that chips are specific for the particular colors. So be sure to keep track of which chip you remove and immediately place it on the same colored refillable cartridge. In trying to make sure that the new cartridges worked I filled them with some leftover ink that we had laying around in our lab but suggest that you don't do the same thing. The ink seems to prevent the metal solutions to pass easily through the sponge, so I would suggest just using your refillable cartridges only for your metal experiments. If you have received these and have other advice, please post it for the good of the group!!! Craig Markum |
