HP D5460 Ink System Failure 0xc19a0041

If you are using an HP Photosmart D5460 Printer and it shows Ink System Failure 0xc19a0041 then you might be able to obtain a replacement printhead from HP.

Our printer was working fine then it started giving this error along with other errors like: printead is damaged or the incorrect printhead for this printer, reinstall printhead, error code 0xc19a0040, etc. I could not correct it by cleaning the printhead components or changing cartridges.

I called HP tech support with plans of purchasing a new printhead but the support person is sending me a replacement printhead free of charge because the 16 digit code on my printhead started with 146... Apparently they have received tons of complaints for error 0xc19a0041 and the engineers are investigating it.

Thanks for your post! We have also found that if you start to have problems with your printhead that it could be expired and if that is the case HP will also send you a new replacement. I hadn't heard about this 146 - 16 digit code correlation. Hopefully they get it worked out!
