a small request - introductions

Thanks to everyone that has been actively participating in the SHArK project this summer! We are so excited to have so many different sites that have taken on the challenge of helping us not only in finding exciting new materials, but in trouble shooting the system. But one thing that I think would be nice for everyone is if we had some introductions. We've sent out a lot of kits and some names are familiar, but I think it would be great for the entire group to have a little background on who you are and what you've been doing (maybe it's more for me to help me keep things straight!!! but I do think everyone can benefit). I'll start with a brief introduction.

I'm Craig Markum and I'm a graduate student at the University of Wyoming in science education working directly with Dr. Bruce Parkinson and Dr. Jenny Schuttlefield. My work this summer has been with our electronics shop as well as starting to put together a plan on assessing how well the SHArK project enhances education.

Nothing too fancy, just a quick word would be great though!

I am doing the SHArK Project as my REU project at the University of Maryland's Materials Science Research and Engineering Center in College Park, MD with Dr. Ichiro Takeuchi. So far my main focus has been on getting the system to work properly.
