GeneralFor basic issues with using the Metal Oxide Combinatorial Photoelectrolysis Project Kits Cleaning refillable inkjet cartridgesSubmitted by kenosky on Thu, 02/24/2011 - 10:55What is the proper method for removing a metal oxide solution from an inkjet cartridge in order to fill the same cartridge with a new solution? Also, the SHArK manual states to add HNO3 to metal oxide solutions, yet, HNO3 is omitted from the online recipes section. Is HNO3 required? If so, what role does it play and are there any suitable substittions? New SoftwareSubmitted by maa10 on Wed, 07/21/2010 - 09:37Hi all, We are testing the new software sent out on 7/20/10 and we have run into quite a few errors. Thank you, Titration of Ink BaseSubmitted by craymond on Mon, 10/13/2008 - 12:12Here is the titration curve for the ink base. It's surprisingly simple to me and it appears there is only one acid-base active component. I quick look at Epson's MSDS for inks shows that 5-10% is an organic component, 10-20% is glycerols and the balance is ink and water. IF anyone wants more data from this let me know and I'll see what I can do. Good "Calibration Metal Set" to Start With?Submitted by mgeselbr on Mon, 09/29/2008 - 14:48Hi all, Calibration CardSubmitted by Megan on Thu, 07/10/2008 - 11:59Would it be possible for us to get a PDF copy of the calibration card? We're experimenting with using pipettes to deliver metal oxides to the FTO slides, and we would like to use it to make a template. Thank you! Supply list in kitsSubmitted by mgeselbr on Tue, 06/17/2008 - 23:08I would recommend adding in a Parts List or Supply List with the kits that itemizes what is included. I don't recall seeing that. I feel lucky in that I had seen most of the components before and so knew what I was getting and could figure out more or less what each piece was for. I'm not so sure it was that obvious to someone who was brand new to the project. What was the experience of other folks? |
